Re: Activating an old expired never used sim card for use on an old phone?
Having a stockpile of sim cards used to be useful because then you knew you had a backup when something happened. Unfortunately, now the sim cards do have an expiration date at which time that sim number would no longer be available in our system. If someone from our care teams tries to activate an expired sim card, they get an error, and it does not proceed to activation. To syaoran's point, the new (LG) sim card should still work in that motorola phone. Are you using the adapter from the credit card sized card that the sim card was popped out of? Those adapters should place the gold contacts in the right place on that Motorola phone.44Views1like1CommentReflect and Recharge: Celebrate 2024 and Set Smart Goals for 2025
January is a great time to reflect on the year that just ended and plan for great new things to come. The time for New Year’s resolutions, big and small, is here. Take a moment to look back and appreciate what you’ve accomplished. Celebrate the growth you’ve experienced over the past year and the hardships you’ve overcome. These achievements can be big life events or small, meaningful moments. Scroll through your camera roll or messages to reminisce about the cool things that stood out. Did you discover new music or shows? Start new adventures or finish big projects? Share in the comments your favorite moments of 2024, no matter how big or small. Setting goals and sticking to them can prove to be an uphill battle. I love the idea of breaking bad habits or establishing better ones, but I always seem to lose focus and motivation about two weeks in. If you’ve successfully made and stuck to New Year’s resolutions, I give you the highest of fives. I know how challenging it can be, and you’re an inspiration! What apps or strategies are you using that make your goals more attainable? Hopefully, your New Year’s celebrations were just what you needed to start the year off right!216Views1like2CommentsRe: International Roaming in Japan Stopped Working
Oh no! Does your phone show any signal bars or data indicators at all? (E, 3G, 4G, LTE, 5G) When you tried the manual network selection, did you have any options available? When connecting, did they give you an error or just no signal?111Views0likes0CommentsRe: International Roaming in Japan Stopped Working
Hey there! Super weird for it to suddenly stop like that. Plus a 2 hour wait for support!! Wow :( First thing I would double check is that your wifi calling setting is NOT set to never use cellular network. That'll stop things in their tracks when not connected to wifi. After that, try our Service issues while traveling internationally | T-Mobile Support page There are some basic settings checks and steps that usually resolve issues while you're traveling.129Views0likes1CommentRe: My son sync up watch doesn’t turn on any more
Hey there Samdahdouh It's been a couple days since you posted. Were you able to get the watch to turn on? Devices are pretty tricky when they are frozen or just won't boot up at all. Good on you for trying different places for charging and letting it charge for a while before continuing to troubleshoot. Does it vibrate or have any light indicator that it's trying to charge when it's on the base? The way to force the SyncUp watches to reboot is by holding down the power button for 7 seconds. If that doesn't work, you might have to reach out to our support teams to have it replaced. It sucks because it is so new.54Views0likes0CommentsRe: Iphone stuck frozen
Oh no! Frozen phones can be tough to deal since they have so few buttons and no removable battery anymore. I did find steps on the Apple website for forcing the phone to restart. If your iPhone won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support The button combo kinda feels like the up-down-up-down button combos that cheated stuff into games on the early game consoles. Hopefully, the process is a little nostalgic and a lot helpful. We'd love to know how it goes for you.48Views0likes0CommentsRe: Phones cutting out
Hey there arlottaca Phone issues are the worst. I use my phone for everything and when I can't get the internet to load or phone calls start cutting out, I want to throw it across the room. (That'd be an expensive outburst, so I don't, but the urge is strong haha) Are things working better for you now or are the phones still cutting out a lot? If they are still not good, we need a little information about where you are to figure out if there is an outage there. City and state or a zip code could be very helpful. 🙂45Views0likes0CommentsRe: Tech-Free Holidays: Tips for Unplugging and Reconnecting
This year I created an advent calendar with activities instead of candy. When it is time to pull the activity for the day, we put aside our devices. My kiddos are little, so the activities only take about 15 to 30 minutes, but it is a great time to connect and create memories.263Views0likes0CommentsTech-Free Holidays: Tips for Unplugging and Reconnecting
The holiday season is a time for joy, warmth, and most importantly, connection. While technology has made it easier to stay in touch with loved ones and manage our busy lives, it can also be a source of stress and distraction. This year, consider taking a tech break to fully immerse yourself in the festivities and create meaningful moments with your family and friends. Here are some tips to help you unplug and reconnect during the holidays. First, set clear boundaries for yourself and your family. Decide on specific times when everyone will put away their devices, such as during meals, family game nights, or movie marathons. Communicate these boundaries early and often to ensure everyone is on the same page. You can also create a "tech-free zone" in your home, like the dining room or living room, where devices aren't allowed. This will help create a more relaxed and engaging atmosphere, allowing you to focus on what truly matters — spending quality time together. To make it easier to stick to these boundaries, take advantage of the focus settings on your devices. On an iPhone, you can enable "Do Not Disturb" mode, which silences notifications during designated times. To set this up, go to Settings > Focus > Do Not Disturb and customize the schedule to fit your holiday plans. For Android users, the "Focus Mode" feature allows you to block distracting apps and notifications. You can access this by going to "Settings" > "Digital Wellbeing" > and then work time, me time, or game time under Focus Mode. You can select the apps you want to allow during your focus time and then choose start. These settings can help you stay present and engaged without the constant interruptions from your device. Finally, find other activities that everyone can enjoy together. Plan a board game night, a craft session, or a cooking challenge. Take a walk in nature, visit a local museum, or attend a holiday concert. These activities not only provide a break from screens but also create lasting memories. Remember, the goal isn't to get rid of technology entirely but to use it in a way that improves, rather than detracts from your holiday experience. By taking a tech break and reconnecting with those around you, you can make this holiday season one of the most memorable and enjoyable yet. Tell us in the comments how you like to get a little time away from the screens.759Views0likes3CommentsSearch/Post/Edit on Community
