family plan
9 TopicsCan free line change number?
My plan has 10+ lines. in 05/2024, I added a new line to my plan and got an additional free line. This free line came with a random number. Till today, no one use this free line. In 08/2024, a friend joined my plan by porting in his AT&T number and T-Mobile charge $35/monthly for this line. I chatted with T-Mobile Customer Service, and wanted to replace the free line with my friend number, so it can save $35 per monthly. But the customer service told me that the existing free line number can’t be replaced or changed. IS THIS TRUE?? All I can do is get a SIM card with a random number doesn’t make any sense to me. Please advise.745Views1like4CommentsLike to remove a phone from my Simple Choice Family Unlimited Talk and Text plan, but it will not lower by monthly bill
Hello, I like to remove a phone number from my Simple Choice Family Unlimited Talk and Text plan, but T-Mobile support says removing a phone line will not lower the monthly bill. Why does not the monthly service bill be reduced if a phone is removed from the plan? ThanksSolved663Views0likes5Commentsswitching from one family plan to another
So I’m currently on a friend’s phone plan and was recently informed that I’d have to switch to an individual account. So my mother agreed that I could switch my phone line her plan … so my question is, does this effect my current equipment plan that’s all ready in place when I switch plans???286Views0likes0Commentsleaving family plan (owner of account)
Hi I’m the owner on an existing family plan and I’m wondering how it’ll work if I leave. What happens to the second line? Currently on a simple choice plan with 2 lines. I know I need to be mindful of when in my billing cycle I leave, port my number over etc, but I’m really more so interested in finding out what the other line can expect to happen. How does tmobile adjust their billing when the primary account holder leaves? Any help would be much appreciated.5.8KViews0likes6CommentsHow to port out of family plan and change to individual plan
What should I do if I want to leave a current family plan I am in and change to a individual plan? I am not the primary account holder for this family plan so does the primary account holder need to do anything or I can just port out on my own?Solved109KViews1like5CommentsPort out time period.
I want to leave my family plan and start my own account with someone else. I went into a T-Mobile store and was told I needed to contact customer service and ask for permission to leave the family plan, I was told it would take no more than 10-20 mins for that process. Before I left the store I asked if I could come back right away after getting permission to leave the account and set up my own account ASAP, I was told YES. So I got with my parents and we called customer service and got my OK to port out the family plan and we asked the rep if I could go in and get it done today, I was told YES. I then I came back to the T-Mobile store and told them my situation and they looked my number up and I was told “your number is still under the family plan so we can’t do it because you aren’t the primary account holder.” Then I told them that the rep and the guy at that store just told me I could get it done asap after getting permission to leave. Then they told me “1 to 3 days and wait for an e-mail of an e-document for confirmation” So my questions are, HOW LONG IS THE PORTING OUT OF A FAMILY PLAN PROCESS? I was told “ASAP”, “1-3 days”, “Go into the store and get it done”. Since the ported out number won’t have a phone plan anyways, would it be faster to just start a new account and get a brand new number?1.2KViews0likes2Comments
