Has anyone had the same problem that I’m having? I bought my brand new Tmobile branded Samsung Galaxy S20 plus direct from Samsung. I’ve never had this problem with any previous phones that I’ve had. Whenever I launch the visual voicemail app, it keeps on saying associated with different account. Want to set up and activate? Yes or No I click yes, then it activates. And shows that it’s set up. But as soon as I either close the program or just close the app window by swiping the app page up to close it, and then I tap on the app icon to launch it again, it shows me the same window saying associated with different account and if I want to activate. (If I say no, then it just closes the window/program.) I’ve talked to Tmobile about this. The tech was very nice, even deleted my voicemail setup from their end to start it from scratch hoping it would clear up this error. I’ve also deleted, uninstalled, cleared cache, at least 4 times and rebooted...no changes...once I install, same window and error comes up. Anyone here have any suggestions what I should do? Dear T-Mobile and Community: I'm running across a problem trying to activate a new prepaid MI line on a new account. It appears that a required website control is disabled in the website's coding. These steps have successfully duplicated the problem on five different browsers, including Windows/Edge, Windows/Firefox, Windows/Chrome, MacOS/Safari, and IOS/Safari: 1. Start at: https://prepaid.t-mobile.com/prepaid-internet 2. Click on First GET STARTED button right in center top of page, takes you to: https://prepaid.t-mobile.com/plan-detail/mobile-internet 3. Select any plan (I used the first one, 2GB/$10 for testing). 4. In the popup, select NEW CUSTOMER. 5. You're now in PRODUCT SELECTOR with your plan selected. Scroll to Device, Choose Bring your own device. 6. Click on the newly-exposed tab "Lets connect your device with this line!" 7. Skip IMEI check (My T-Mobile iPAD isn't recognized by the system, but that's a database issue, separate from this.) 8. Tell the system you have a T-Mobile SIM card, input your SIM card number. Verify and click CONTINUE. 9. On the next screen, put in your new email address, choose a PIN, and put in your contact information. Click CONTINUE. 10. Now you're at https://prepaid.t-mobile.com/cart/line-setup, which is the page with the problem. 10A. Put in device nickname. 10B. Choose get a new number. 10C. Opt-in to E911, input address. 10D. Select ZIP code for Primary Place of Use PPU. AND... the bug: 10E. Observe that the PRIMARY NUMBER MENU is *disabled* (greyed out completely), and unable to be input or selected. 10F. Observe that the CONTINUE button is ALSO *disabled* (greyed out completely), and unable to be selected. The only choice at this point is "EDIT CART', which takes you back two pages to step 8, above. In short it is impossible to get past this point on any computer or browser, and is therefore impossible to self-active a Prepaid Mobile Internet line with your own SIM card as a new account on the T-Mobile website. Please advise!Solved4.5KViews0likes12CommentsActivation and Taxes based on Credit Limit?
There is currently a deal on the website that says iphone15 “on us” when you upgrade or already have a go5g plus plan and a trade-in device. However, when I tried to do the upgrade online, it’s showing a $650 down payment. When I asked customer service about this, I was told that “the charge is based on taxes and activation fees and my credit limit is low, so my down payment is higher.” Online it says the activation fee is $35, and the sales tax for this phone in my state would only be about $56, for a total of about $100-ish. I brought this to the attention of customer service and was told that mine is different because of my credit. But if the phone is free, why is there a down payment involved? I should only be paying the fee and taxes, not for the phone itself. I tried to keep asking questions but was told that they already explained it to me in detail and that is the basic Tmobile policy. I asked for them to send me the link to the policy or email it to me, but I got no response. Has anyone else experienced this? I am VERY confused why tax and an activation fee would be based on my credit limit.2KViews0likes5Commentsre-activating a canceled line from abroad
Hi, I’m a student and I studied abroad this year. I cancelled (not suspended) my T-mobile line when I left the US. I still have the SIM card. I’m coming back to the US soon and I’d like to re-activate my line with my old sim card. Can I do this without having to call T-mobile from an international number? I’d like to do this ASAP before I return. Thanks in advance for your help.1.2KViews0likes6CommentsActivate eSim after purchasing a plan through the Prepaid eSim app
I will visit the US next week for 1 month as a tourist, I purchased the $60 monthly plan through the Prepaid eSim app on my iPhone 12 Pro, I completed the eSim purchase steps successfully, and when the app prompted me to activate the eSim I chose not to activate and dismissed that pop up screen, because I don’t want to start the plan now, I want to start it once I arrive in the US, I couldn’t find a way to start activating the eSim process again without having to call T-Mobile support number, which’s not possible for me, because international calls are too expensive (calling from Saudi Arabia) and I don’t have a different phone with a US number to call them once I arrive (tourists usually don’t have that choice). Is there a possible way to activate the eSim once I arrive in the US ?921Views0likes4CommentsSorry, that SIM card is Reserved. Please try that SIM again in 2 hours or contact T-Mobile or visit your local T-Mobile store for a new SIM card.
I have called t-mobile prepaid customer service, trying to transfer my boost mobile phone number over. They told me they would call me back but they never did. I called back again they said the same thing as the first agent, saying I have to wait 2 hours for it to work. but I have already waited 5 days by now, it is still not working. They never get back to me. Can someone please help? When I tried to reach out through livechat they all said they can’t help me through live chat. When I called back earlier today I got hung up on several times by 3 different people.799Views0likes1CommentVisual Voicemail will not activate on prepaid account
I have a pre-paid account without mobile data. Visual Voicemail had been working but then there was an update last week. When opening updated Visual Voicemail it wants to activate using “supported mobile carrier network”. It says I can’t use WIFI to activate though it will work once activated. Pressing “getting started” results in “Visual Voicemail cannot be authenticated due to cellular data mode being turned off”. I can turn on mobile data without error. Trying again I get new message “Visual Voicemail was not activated please try again.” Trying again multiple times does not work. Phone is a OnePlus Nord N200 5g. Any ideas? Hi! I am trying to activate my new Galaxy Watch 5 phone this morning, replacing the Watch4. Paired with my S22 Ultra phone. I get to the point about setting up a mobile plan from the phone. I click on “sign up for mobile plan”… I then get “Webpage not available. The webpage at https://acms.msg.t-mobile.com/acms-entry-points/gll/activate could not be loaded because: net:ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED”. I reset the watch and tried again. Same problem. Anyone else having problems activating?299Views0likes5CommentsScammed out of switching credits
Checking to see if other small business in the community are being scammed out of their credits for switching services to T-Mobile. We never received our promised $4,000 in credits (yes, it is four thousand, no extra zeros, no exaggeration). Even after over 6 months - ever few weeks / billing cycle - it is surprise and shock when we have to inform T-mobile the credits did not post despite assurance someone will be watching the account closely to make sure it happens. We get hold of sales & transition team - surprise and shock…. then bumping starts - it was never one to two billing cycles it was 90 days, it was not 90 days it was sometime between 90 days to 6 months, then it is after 90 days but over course of 10 billing cycles…. we reached all the milestones NOTHING ! Now they have started splitting hairs…. when we ported-in our lines we did not keep all the old numbers, we got additional lines as part of a 10 line promotion, but the promotion for 10 new lines did not cover new activation …. WTF - you sold it to me, you were part of ever step of the service transition, you never made any distinction, it was come one come all, bring your old line, bring your old phone, get a new line, get a new phone - just sign-up for service with T-Mobile, what's with all this pretense after the transition ? For last 6 months when we kept getting confirmation credits will post - no one knew these fine differentiation. Customer care (Business Expert) are equally frustrating, they will keep you on the phone for 30 to 40 minutes and then claim it needs further research and they will call back in in 1 to 2 business days. Nothing comes out of it… no call back. Call again, new rep… narrate everything again (as if all the notes other rep typed have disappeared from the record)… another 30 to 40 minutes…. in the end same outcome. Request escalation no response. Request contact information for someone in management - no response. Checking to see if we are an exception or this is common. And, if anyone had any contact for someone in T-Mobile Business - management team.232Views0likes2Comments
