62 TopicsUnidentified 'RDK-B-GW' Device Showing on G4AR Gateway - Need Help!
Hi, I have the white G4AR gateway, and I've noticed a strange device that always appears as connected via Ethernet. I'm certain of the number of devices connected both via Ethernet and Wi-Fi, and this device doesn't match any of them. The device is listed as "RDK-B-GW" and shares the same IP address as the G4AR, but it has a different MAC address from the gateway. This unknown device shows up under the “Connected Devices” list when I use the T Life app (which was recommended as a replacement for the T-Mobile Internet app). However, it does not appear in the “Your Devices” list when I log in through the T-Mobile Internet app. I've searched online for information, but all I find are numerous T-Mobile ads without anything specific about this device or its possible connection to the G4AR. Does anyone know what this device is and how I can remove it? Is it possibly an internal or "ghost" device within the G4AR that’s incorrectly displayed as a separate entity with a different MAC address? The manual doesn't mention anything about this either. Thanks in advance for any help!Solved2.9KViews3likes16CommentsG5SE expert settings
I was sent this device after subscribing and find that it is WAY too restricted. I need the ability to map TCP and UDP ports along with other settings otherwise T-Mobile service is not going to work for me and I will need to return to cable. How do I get into the expert level or advanced settings instead of the basic page that just shows signal strength and support phone numbers? Edit: G4SE device, I can’t change topics.Solved101Views0likes2CommentsNew TMobile wifi user…Cannot connect my HP Envy 5530 e-all in one Printer to Network

So I have a Genie Model 3155D garage door opener that uses the Aladdin-Connect App. It was not working with my TMO-G4SE gateway. After some digging around the internet, some people suggested that the problem might have to do with the wpa2/wpa3 setting that the gateway defaults to. So I didn't want to change my main network connection security settings. So what I did was add a hidden network (you can also unhide it but it's only a preference thing)inside the T-Life app and set it to WPA2 (WPA/WPA2,would also probably work). Then I went through and connected my phone to the hidden network-then ran the Aladdin-Connect App and it finally logged my garage door opener to the gateway. (Remember to disconnect your phone from the hidden network to test). Now I can use the garage door opener as the only connected device on a hidden SSID with WPA2. I don't know if it affects any other aspect of the gateway having an additional 2.4 network running but it solved my problems with the older garage door technology not wanting to connect the newer default protocols.114Views0likes0CommentsCan I cancel my 5G MiFi M2000 hotspot account?
I added a line to my account in roughly 7/22to support a Zoom meeting we were having in a facility without WIFI.This worked fine until roughly 1/22 when it failed miserably. We were having bad weather that week but found, after that week, it never worked sufficiently to be useful again. We updated the firmware, checked for best signal strength (we always had at least 3 bars) and all other options and finally sought out another solution. I now have a5G MiFi M2000 that I’d like to return to T-mobile as it’s useless to me. I can find no way to do this on the website. I still have ~$200 to pay offthis device. If I go to a t-mobile store (inconvenient for me), what can I expect? Presuming, at the least, I will be “stuck” with the5G MiFi M2000, is there a market for these? Where can I get rid ofit (e.g. eBay?, other options?) Thanks in advance for your help...233Views0likes2CommentsTMO-G4AR SIP Issues
Unable to make calls with VoIP phone. The phone will register/show online but SIP invites are not reaching our server to negotiate/start a call. So, registration traffic will hit our servers and the phone will register, but phone cannot make calls. Unable to get a packet capture from the T-Mobile device to troubleshoot if it’s making it to the WAN side.46Views0likes0Comments
