We are on a cruise in Canada; I got a message saying there were no additional charges BUT… my wife just got a text saying this does NOT apply to cruise ships. What’s the real answer?
Cruise ships run their own cellular systems, and once at sea, theynare effectively their own country code, and it can get expensive very quickly.

Your wife's message. Put your phone in airplane mode while on the cruise ship to avoid any surprise charges.
