Coverage In Italy

Definitely contact them before you travel they have a pass that you can buy for $35 that covers you I believe for 9 days you can do it right on the website or you can call them and add it before you leave but if you do that it starts the day You activated so I would wait until you get there then go on the website and add it and then you will be covered
