Unable to replace Arcadyan KDV21 gateway with Sagemcom FAST 5668w
I get the best signal in the attic (35 to 50 Mbps) as compared to inside the house (10 to 35 Mbps). The issue is that with summer approaching, my attic is already heating up to 95F degrees. Based on the user guide, KVD21 is rated for up to 104F versus Sagemcom’s 120F.
I called technical support to see if they could replace my gateway. After hours of explaining the potential fire hazard, they sent me an Arcadyan gateway as a replacement device.
Earlier today, I spoke to technical support again, and now they are suggesting that I walk into a T-Mobile store and get a new line with Sagemcom device. Upon activation, they will cancel my existing line.
The problem with this approach is that I will lose $25 Home Internet promotion.
Can anyone help me resolve this issue?

Who would swap the SIM card?
The store isn’t entertaining my request. They will only add a new line.
The online technical support stated that they will send a device and that I will have to swap the sim card on my own. The issue is that they sent me another Arcadyan device, which defeats the purpose.

They shouldn't need to cancel your line, just ask them to swap out your SIM card from the Arcadian to the Sagemcom.
