Showing Wrong Time Zone and T-Mobile STILL Can't Fix

I’ve been on chat and the phone with T-Mobile Customer Service for at least 2 hours now.

My Samsung Note 9 randomly switches from the correct (central) time zone to eastern time zone as described in this post below from 3 years ago. Obviously this problem has not been solved as the post indicates.

T-mobile wants to attribute it to my phone being a samsung, but excluding myself, there are at least six other individuals at my place of work that this is happening to (all on the t-mobile network) with different phone models.

If anyone out there has a solution to this, please share!

I spent approximately 30 minutes on the phone with Samsung support. T-mobile connected me with them. There currently seems to be no resolution with either T-mobile or Samsung. T-mobile states that they’ll investigate further. Samsung states that they may have to look into developing a new update.

Did you ever receive a reply from this post? You can call online help never any answers it just sits there empty like everything I've ever asked. At least it's not full of a bunch of garbage the wrong answer. My phone's been stuck on the wrong time zone for days while everybody else that was traveling with me their phone's picked it up.

You can always turn off automatic imte setting on your device and set the time manually until this is resolved.  In some cases, your billing address and WiFi Calling address can sometimes affect your automatic time zone settings with an eSIM.
