refer a friend nightmare

so I had two friends switch over to tmobile within the last month and I tried to do the Refer A Friend program but I kept getting a error message stating I need a qualified account.  Per the prog...

    Oh okay, I see what you mean. I think it's how it's worded. "In good standing" wouldn't include an account that's past due and I'm sorry if we didn't clarify that for you. I wish I could help but we don't have a workaround for this if the account is past due. If the number you're trying to refer hasn't been activated an account with us yet, there's still a once the account is in good standing. Looking at the page, as long as the referral is submitted at least 24 hours before they activated with is, you'd still be able to get the referral.
