iPhone eSIM temporary unlock while traveling abroad

I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment regarding the challenges I am facing in securing a SIM unlock while traveling abroad.

As a loyal T-Mobile customer with 12 active lines, I have always appreciated the services provided and have remained committed to the network. However, during my recent travels, I encountered significant difficulty in attempting to use my second SIM card in my home country due to the restrictions imposed.

One option available to me is to pay off my device, which would regrettably result in the loss of my trade-in credits—a scenario that feels unjust given my long-standing relationship with T-Mobile. As a dedicated customer, I kindly request that T-Mobile consider either providing a temporary unlock for my device or offering credits to account for the paid-off amount, without affecting my trade-in credits.

The current policy seems to block all potential avenues for utilizing my second SIM, and I believe that, as a valued customer, there should be more flexibility and consideration for my loyalty to T-Mobile.

Apple doesn't permit devuces to be temporarily SIM unlocked.  That means, unfortunately you need to meet all of the criteria for a permanent SIM unlock outlined im the SIM Unlock Policy.  You can try reaching out to T-Mobile via a DM on either Twitter/X or Facebook to see if there is a possibility of them making a one-time exception.
