Is it possible for a scammer to access your phone or see your screen by asking you to switch to speaker?

I recently had to activate my hulu account, and neglected to check the URL when I clicked a activate site (webart.com). I was asked to call a number (1.848.310.2088). The operator / scammer asked me to switch to speaker and then apparently could see my screen. He could follow my swiping and knew which apps I had. I had not downloaded any additional apps. He later wanted me to down an app called anydesk. I hung up, but am concerned that my phone has been hacked.

  • the link itself might have been their access point. no idea after the fact but you might opt to factory reset your device to purge anything that shouldnt be in there as well as changing all your primary passwords to the more important things like your bank etc.
