Sounds like it is related to an update   I have seen posts on the Samsung Members forum as well from users on other carriers.  Interestingly enough, it doesn't seem to be affecting the s23 series.

Have you figured anything out? I've had this phone since it first came out with no problem now it heat up so much I can't use it half the time now. I can't even charge it. I'm doing a warranty exchange but I'm worried this is just a problem with this phone. Makes me want to get the s25 but I'm still paying on this.

  • How long have you had the phone for? Any events surrounding this behavior like contact with water, software updates, full storage, etc.?

      Hi SeanNetworks,

it's kind of you to inquire.  The phone is new, January 2025, TMo, unlocked, current Android, all updates in place, storage room to spare.  More likely than these level 1 Q&A points that you raise is a systemic issue.

Could be a pervasive S24 / Android14 issue, or just Tmo.  I suspect that 600MHz serving sector forward power is touching geography that demands too much reverse path energy to balance the link.
