Wrong City
My account apparently picks me up being in Nashville, TN instead of Anniston, AL. Is there a way to change this? The the addresses and zip codes i see in profile are correct. I am getting Nashville local channels and need to get local channels with streaming service. The streaming service is picking up I am in Nashville instead of Anniston
Some web developers decided that they were smart enough to infer location from IP address. This is not, and has never been, an Internet standard. There is no E911 location for IP addresses and there is no correlation between your device’s IP address and physical location. It’s a mistake to assume there is.
Unfortunately that's the way internet is, I live in Phoenix and there's times a get the LA channels on streaming services using Cox cable. I had this issue with Locast when it was still around.
What I found out is I had to sign out of the streaming service and sign back in.
