Unknown phone ringing
I have been getting phone rings repeatedly. The ring is unlike other ring tones I have. But nothing shows up on screen. They are not phone calls or calls from apps (such as Whatsapp). In fact, I cannot find any indication where these ringings come from. I can’s even answer them as there is nothing on screen.
Rarely I do get a very short notice of “internet call” or something like that.
Before I change my phone number, anyone has any idea what these are? And how can I stop them? Thanks.
if you have scam sheild you might even look in there and see if the call starts to kick through them scam shield catches it maybe?
Thanks. I did add a new app (not rouge). I checked the notification settings (all are turned off), so I don’t think that’s it.
Note that these rings come in the middle of the night to early mornings. I had to turn my phone off at night to get some sleep. Seems like someone is calling using an internet phone, probably scam calls from a foreign country. Every so often I get a notice on the top bar of some kind of “internet call”. But it’s too fast for me to identify what it is.
Might be a rouge app you recently download. I would check the notification settings on each app before I'd do a factory reset.
Yes. Nothing shows up. No notification, no phone log.
Tech support thinks I should do a factory reset.
Have you tried going into your notification settings and see what your most recent notification were?
