T-Mobile Brings Back FREE ‘MLB.com At Bat’ Subscription

April 30, 2015

The Un-carrier gives customers FREE access to premium features of
MLB’s At Bat app throughout the regular season

Bellevue, Washington — May 1, 2015 — T-Mobile (NYSE: TMUS) today announced it will once again offer Un-carrier customers a subscription to the premium features of Major League Baseball’s official ‘MLB.com At Bat’ app throughout the regular 2015 season−completely free of charge. The updated app includes powerful features like live look-ins, Statcast, Apple Watch support, live home and away radio broadcast feeds, the free Game of the Day, pitch tracking, as well as in-depth team and player information and profiles. Starting today, T-Mobile customers downloading the app will be able to access all premium subscription features of the app for free through both Google Play and the App Store (a value of $19.99).

“Baseball fans have a huge appetite for data and for sharing amazing moments − which is what makes T-Mobile and Major League Baseball such a great team,” said John Legere, President and CEO of T-Mobile. “So we’re giving every Un-carrier customer free access to the At Bat app again this year. Rabid MLB fans can dig into their team’s stats and enjoy every moment of the new season, all on our lighting fast 4G LTE Data Strong™ network.”

The Un-carrier’s Data Strong network delivers the fastest LTE speeds to customers versus any major national carrier. Which means you can get the blazing fast LTE speeds you need for streaming, downloading and sharing the big moments of the game. And since the beginning of its partnership with the MLB in 2012, T-Mobile has worked to upgrade Distributed Antennae Systems (DAS) in nearly half of the MLB ballparks across the US to help boost 4G LTE coverage and keep our network Data Strong during MLB games. DAS boosts signal strength and increases capacity when thousands of fans are all capturing big moments and sharing from their mobile devices simultaneously. T-Mobile DAS can more than double the data and voice capacity at ballparks across the US.

Returning for its third straight year as the Official Wireless Sponsor of Major League Baseball, the Un-carrier also announced it will be back as the title sponsor of the MLB FanFest during All-Star Week. T-Mobile All-Star FanFest takes place July 10-14 in Cincinnati, Ohio and T-Mobile customers will have exclusive access to discounted tickets for FanFest among other great benefits at the event. This year, the Un-carrier will also sponsor the Cincinnati Reds, hosts of the 2015 All-Star Game, as well as several other teams, including the Minnesota Twins, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, the Washington Nationals and T-Mobile’s hometown team, the Seattle Mariners. Team sponsorships will include great benefits for T-Mobile customers like player appearances, retail promotions, T-Mobile Title Nights at the ballpark and other fan activities.

T-Mobile delivers America’s fastest nationwide 4G LTE network to more than 275 million people − and is on target to cover 300 million people by the end of 2015. For more information please go to www.t-mobile.com/mlb.
