WARREN, N.J. (BUSINESS WIRE), July 19, 2011 -
payLo by Virgin Mobile customers are now free to talk and text even more
without paying more money as the brand enhances its $30/month Talk &
Text plan with even more messaging and data for the same low price.
payLo customers will still receive the same remarkable voice-value
they’ve come to appreciate with 1,500 domestic voice minutes and will
now get more as the brand increases the allotment of messages (text,
picture, email and/or IM) from 500 to 1,500 messages per month and the
Web access allotment from 10MB to 30MB per month.
“These days not everyone is using fancy ‘apps’, but almost everyone is
talking and texting,” said Mark Lederman, director, payLo by Virgin
Mobile. “Although most of our customers use payLo for the affordable
devices, simplicity and value of our voice services, we’re seeing them
use texting more and more. We don’t want them to have any second
thoughts or spend additional dollars in order to use both services.”
This new, enhanced offer sets itself apart from the competition by
offering 1,500 voice minutes AND 1,500 messages. By comparison,
T-Mobile’s prepaid $30 monthly plan provides a total of 1,500
minutes and/or texts. With payLo, customers aren’t restricted to using
just one bucket of minutes or messages for both talking and texting.
As more consumers are seeing the benefits of prepaid wireless, both for
lower price and convenience, payLo is capitalizing on that trend by
expanding its brand presence – most recently in Best Buy stores
nationwide. In addition to presence in the mall-based Best Buy Mobile
locations, payLo products are now highlighted in their own dedicated
section in Best Buy big box stores. Customers can find value-driven
payLo products, such as the LG200 for $69.99, the Kyocera S2300 for
$49.99, the Kyocera S2100 for $29.99, and the LG101 for $14.99, at Best
Buy and Best Buy Mobile specialty stores or by visiting other exclusive,
select and authorized retailers.
”We’re thrilled to work with a leading wireless retailer like Best Buy
Mobile to give payLo by Virgin Mobile exposure, enabling us to reach
even more customers searching for value and reliability from brands
they’ve come to trust,” added Lederman.
“With these enhancements to the Talk & Text plan, we’re able to cater to
a growing number of consumers who need affordable talk and text time,
and a lot of it,” said Lederman. “At $30 per month, these customers can
save money while knowing they have the right service on a solid network
for their communication needs. The benefits provided by payLo’s $30
offer, combined with a device lineup featuring handsets for $70 or less,
reaffirm our commitment to providing overall value to this particular
segment of customers.”
With payLo by Virgin Mobile, there are no activation fees and no
long-term contracts. Adding to a monthly balance is simple with Virgin
Mobile or payLo Top-Up cards, or with a credit/debit card or PayPal
account online at www.virginmobileusa.com.
payLo by Virgin Mobile offers $10, $20 or $30 Top-Up cards, which can be
used to purchase monthly service and additional items, such as
international calling, ringtones and downloads. Top-Up cards can be
purchased at thousands of retail stores nationwide.
For less-frequent talkers, payLo by Virgin Mobile offers two additional
plans:
- Monthly Talk Plan: 400 domestic minutes for $20/month
-
Pay As You Go Basic Rate: 90 days of service for $20 ($0.20/minute
rate)
