slow speed

Ok so I’m new to T-Mobile home internet but I’ve came across a issue. I’m getting 4-12 ping, 130-190mbsdownload, but I’m only getting around 3-4.8mbs upload, that is thru Ethernet, if I go to WiFi the numbers are the same beside upload goes up to 5.2-8.3mbs…. What could be going on? Phone support was no help at all.3.7KViews1like6CommentsSlow speeds using the t-mobile esim app designed for tourists
Hi, last night i signed up to t-mobile using their esim app. I am visting from the UK. I paid for the highest plan which didn't mention and speed restrictions apart from if you use more then 50gb you may be slowed down (or deprioritised). I did a speed check and was getting some goodish speeds at one point 70/80mbps on 5g. But today i am barely getting abocve 3mbps which has me thinking i'm being throttled. Things seems sluggish compared to last night. Does anyone have experence with the plans (50/60 dollars) or know why it's happening or if it's temporary. I checked the coverage and the 5g ultra i think i'm just outside so i'm just connected to the 5g (2 bars).96Views0likes3CommentsHotspot Usage when Not using Hotspot | Tidal running slow
I wanted to share my experience in case others are facing a similar issue: I received a new Samsung S24 in February. Since then, I've been receiving notifications about exceeding my hotspot data usage, even though the hotspot is turned off. This seemed strange. I reported this to T-Mobile support, but they kept pointing to their system showing I was using hotspot data and advised me to turn it off. Additionally, I use Tidal for music streaming. Recently, I've been unable to stream music using mobile data as it was extremely slow or wouldn't load at all. Today, after receiving another hotspot usage message (indicating I exceeded the 5GB cap without using the hotspot), I noticed my Tidal streaming stopped working on mobile data this billing cycle. I checked my phone's data usage, and it showed Tidal had used over 5GB of mobile data—the exact amount as the hotspot data cap. It seems T-Mobile's system was misreporting Tidal's mobile data usage as hotspot data. I tried explaining this to support, but they didn't acknowledge it. They reset the network connection to my phone, which seemed to resolve the issue. I suspect this problem might be related to T-Mobile's "Music Freedom" feature included in my plan, which is supposed to prioritize or differently handle music streaming traffic.182Views2likes3Commentsslow 5G
Why is TMobile 5G so slow? The only time my S22 Ultra is even close to 4G speeds is when connected to wifi. On 5G it's worse than 2G. I've had my sim card replaced but no change. I'm sitting in the middle of Scottsdale, AZ and can't hardly get a web page to open. I miss calls and get texts hours or days later. I tried a TMobile store but they are of zero help, all they do is sell stuff. If no one at Tmobile can help fix this then Iam going to switch to Verizon. None of my Verizon friends have this issue, Verizon 5G is super fast.8.2KViews2likes17CommentsLagging and throttle
I don’t understand why at certain times the internet is great and then by the evening like 5 or 7 pm it gets so slow that we can not watch tv or my son can not play his games online. I do a speed test every night and reset the modem either by unplugging or restart using the T-Mobile app and it helps only for a short while only to go right back into slowing down. They fixed the 2 towers that was down a few monthsago and it went well but then it started again. It is getting very annoying to a point where I will cancel this service because it’s never steady. This happen starting at 5 pm and then 7 pm which last up to 8 pm and by the speed test I could see how it struggles to keep the speed up but after 10 pm all the way to the morning it runs 300 mbps at 6 am and right now I just did a speed test and it’s 42 mbps download speed. I did like the service until all this lagging and slow speed started and getting tired of rebooting and restarting every day. I have friends who are going through the same thing and want to cancel service just as I do so I hope T-Mobile get on the ball and do something before they start losing customers.Solved465Views1like6CommentsIs my neighbor's 4G LTE Cellspot degrading my service?
For reference I live in an apartment building which has acceptable T-Mobile service as I'vegone years without any issues living here. A new neighbor hasmoved in recently, and I noticed that I havebeen experiencingworse call qualityand more calls have beendropping. Our building has a very spotty internet provider with high ping and slow upload speeds. A few things lead me to believe that my new neighborshave installed a T-Mobile 4G LTE Cellspot. I'mfamiliar with the Cellspot because my parents live in a rural area and have one in their home.In the past myphone used to display 5G service regularly, nowinstead itdisplays LTE exclusively. When stepping outside about twenty yards away from the building my 5G service returns. I also receive better speeds when running a speed test outside away from my building. Inside of my building I barely reach 40mbs down and usually below5 mbs upload speed which is important for calls and video calls. Speed and the quality of calls has never been an issue before. But only recently becauseof this I’m needingto leave my hometo make calls. It's frustrating because like I said this is a recent issue and I can pin it to something that's making it worse. I use my T-Mobile service to get away from my terrible internetto begin with. I understand that there is no way to connect to the tower directly because the Cellspot is basically a small tower itself and the phone connects there by default. What are my options?1.1KViews1like8Comments5G home wifi slow download speeds 1MBs
Just unboxed and connected 5g gateway. The app says Excellent connection at 5 bars but my download speed is only at 1MBs. Why? I've been downloading a movie that's only 2.3gb it's been 30 minutes now and I'm only at 50% and I don't have any other devices connected to the gateway? Any suggestions or insight?
