Bait and Switch Help
I got done the same. I called to see how I could lower my bill, was “offered” the $1000 off iPhone 16 and my bill being $150. I accepted the offer and took care of all paperwork. As we speak I have not 1000 off and my bill is 325 dollars from 250. I now am paying full price for iPhone 16. There excuse is the 1000 off promo expired 🐂💩. I’m filling a lawsuit against them for the bait and switch method they use against us. If you would like to join me let me know I’m not stopping until they learn an expensive lesson. I called tech support in November because my phone locked up a couple times…the tech asked for my info and saw my husband and I both had iphone 12 minis…he then asked if we would like new phones because they just came out with iphone 16 and if we switched from magenta 55 to go5g and traded in our 12 minis we could each get new phones for free and our monthly bill would only go up $30….I said we were happy with our service and our bill for 2 lines and 1 internet gateway was $120…so i asked would our total new bill be $150? tech said yes, the go5g plan would only cost $30 more and we each could get a free 16…so I agreed to switch plans and ordered 1 iphone 16 in blue and 1 16 pro titanium …. long story short our bill ends up being $215 so I call customer service and they say if I wait for 2 billing cycles for the free phone promotion to take effect…it will all work out..Now Its end of january and i’ve called several times, talked to several people…in December they said the promotion expired…but they would try to find another promotion to use and to wait 2 billing cycles….AGAIN…
now my next bill is down to $207 …still not even close to what I was told..they are giving me a discount on each phone but neither is free…i never even called to buy new phones or to switch plans…at this point I feel this was a total bait and switch and im at a loss as what to do

I would call back again and ask them to place you on hold and read all the notes from account activity. Then when they return tell them before you have them transfer you to a supervisor can you help me with this situation by sending in to get an approval to credit the account so that you get the promised monthly bill you agreed upon and contract you signed. If not have them xfer you to the supervisor and tell them the same thing as above.
What I have noticed is that the 8 people I have spoke with (2 supervisors and 6 reps) they are all not on the same page. But.. I now have after 4 months $500 off and they are crediting my account monthly for the other $500 to total the $1000 off. I learned it’s all about the credits. So I know for a fact they can credit your account to reflect how your bill should look. It’s just getting that rep or supervisor that will go above and beyond for you. Harass the hell out of them and Don’t give up!
