Bait and switch

I feel like I’ve been a victim of bait and switch. I received a text message that said:

T-Mobile: You're eligible for iPhone 14 up to 50% off (w/24 mo. bill creds. + tax). No trade in required PLUS keep your current plan: https:…..

The app wasn’t giving me this promotion. I called customer service I was told I had to add a line or do a trade in. It clearly says no trade in is required and no where does it say adding a line is required. 

Shame on T-Mobile.
