Contact Deutsche Telekom from your country of origin is the best i could tell you. If I remember correctly they are finally changing the name in most countries away from T-Mobile which slowly gets rid of the confusion.
“You need to connect to the in-flight WiFi with WiFi Calling enabled. It should prompt you to open a web browser where you enter your T-Mobile number, receive a code,”
The Lufthansa process does not allow this method as there is no internet connection unless the payment plan is validated. Without an internet connection inflight, no browser page can be loaded and no code received.
