Wi-Fi Mesh Access Point

on the 10th of last month (Dec.) my access point quit working, tried everything along with help from T-Mobile support, had to replace it, got the new one connected and working great, now on Jan. 2 it is malfunctioning again, (less than 3 weeks) solid red light, connected to router with patch cable, several minutes later, the light turns green, so I disconnect the patch cable and it turns red and stays red, I think I have another defective one, what could be the problem?
