I'm experiencing the same situation with the T-Mobile G4SE. I have the TP-Link Deco M9 mesh system. When I'm in Wi-Fi router mode the Internet speed slows down dramatically but my devices out clients connected to it works ok. When the Deco is in Access Point the speed increase by 10x but my devices or clients start acting weird. Did you found any way to turn off the NAT in your T-Mobile gateway?
