Is there a reason why I need to download an app to make changes on the router admin settings? Why can’t I make changes by going to the admin gateway ip site?

T-Mobile took away the IP GUI from all gateways after the Nokia. That’s why the Nokia is recommended for advanced users.
There are work-arounds / back-door methods for later model gateways using the techniques shown by Nater Tater, or using a 3rd party app Hint Control.
