VPN Refusing to Connect

I'm not sure when but this first occurred but my work VPN no longer connects when I use my phone for a hotspot.  It used to.  As soon as I disconnect from my hotspot and use a work provided cellular card from another provider it works just fine.  IT is also telling me they have other users both with T-Mobile home internet and phones that aren't able to connect to the VPN they recently discovered.   Is anyone aware of any changes or issues?  I searched the forum here and see some older posts and some about a modem issue but that wouldn't affect my phone hotspot. 

  • I have the same issue with my work VPN at my current employer and previous. My previous employer had a work around but the connection was terribly slow. The first time I tried the 5G home internet I called and a tech knew that certain VPNs do not work on their network.

      Is this recent ? I have the G4SE gateway and it was working fine till Nov-4-2024. That's when TMo rolled out the lastest update version 1.03.20 and ever since if no websites work when i connect to the VPN. 

      When i connect to a hotspot using my Tmobile phone connection, the websites work while I am on VPN.

      Could you give your gateway and update version ? The software version can be found by visiting 192.168.12.1 on my gateway.
