if i am not on wifi i have no data

I had a new esim put on an it worked for like a week. But if I am not on WiFi my phone shows I have no data connection at all. Anyone else have this issue? Like an s21 isn't that old and I take care of it, I don't miss payments and am supposed to be paying for unlimited data. What gives?
