5G Gateway

I have a 5G Gateway, I'm thinking about cutting my TV cable and just using streaming with You tube TV, going through a Roku device. I have a good strong signal ( I'm less than a mile from the tower). Will the Gateway handle two TVs at a time?

There really only is one way to find out if it will work for you.  Good luck!

  • Depends on how good of signal you get from the device, and speeds you’re getting from the tower.

I have ‘good’ and sometimes ‘very good’ signal, and typically ~400Mbps from the 5G gateway, sometimes ~170Mbps, and that’s more than enough for TV’s on a Roku.

Live streaming is always a bit more challenging, but as long as the service supports ~30 second buffer, you should be good.  The gateway isn’t the issue in general, its traffic at the local tower and possible deprioritization.
