Apple SE compatability with my plan

I have an Iphone 14 with 5g and am looking to buy a refurbished Iphone for hubby.  I am looking at an Iphone SE but it is not compatible with 5g.  Can I buy an unlocked SE phone and add it to my plan...

    if it isnt 5G capable then it’ll need to have VoLTE compatible to TMOs network or it wont work.

You can but make sure it has the correct bands that Tmobile uses.
