Upgrade to Android 14 now no connection to network
Hi community, on 1/13/24 samsung did an upgrade. Android 14. Since the upgrade I no longer automatically receive 5g when out of wireless areas. I also get a loss connection on my own wireless at home. I have xfinity wifi and prior to the update if I'm out of wifi range my xfinitywifi would connect automatically now I get nothing. Tried texting my wife in my house and get a message your phone is not connected to a network. T mobil changed out my Sim card and reset the network but that did nothing. Spent hours on the phone with tmobil and Samsung and no one has an answer. Phone worked fine for two years and never had a problem until the latest upgrade.anyone else experiencing this issue. I have a Samsung s22 ultra now on Android 14 after this crappy update. Any recommendations appreciated. I am about ready to change over to xfinity if t mobil can't get this fixed.
Thanks
Ron

I had an update about 2 weeks ago, and again an update this morning. I don’t think it’s an android OS update…..whatever it is I am having spotty network connectivity and I am losing my mind. S22 ultra and I am still making payments. I do not want to upgrade. The device is literally perfect. I called Tmobile, they walked me through doing all kinds of things. Including airplane mode, turn off, turn back on, turn off airplane mode….no connection. I occasionally have a network connection but not when it truly is most important. I have been with Tmobile for a very long time, I even did a factory reset and still nothing, then another software update this morning….what is going on and what is going on to FIX THIS???

I can verify that as of today 1/22/24, OnePlus on T-Mobile did the same thing to me. The weird thing is I have the auto update feature turned off, but it forced it on me. Hope fully they fix it soon because the 4g that my phone is currently on feels more like when I had dial up from when I was a kid.
You need to disable the updater app under system apps. My 8T is up in Canada so I don't have it to specifically name the update app, because there is two. You can more than likely find out what you need to do on the XDA forum for your OnePlus device. As a former Oneaplus FUT membee and official beta tester. T-Mobile has almost nothing to do with the updates.

A few with the same issues on other carriers..this is by far a Samsung issue they need to fix.

The issues with the Android 14 update for the s22 series are known by Samsung. There are a lot of threads in the Samsung Members forum and on other carrier forums as well. Unfortunately, there isn't a fix yet that I am aware if but I would suggest checking the XDA forum for your device to make sure you can get it as soon as it is available.

from time to time yes...said updates come from the manufacturer of said phone..problem comes in they must figure out what the issue is then fix it..if its a large scale issue there will usually be more info being passed back to them..so far im not seeing a whole lot of threads bringing this up. could be your phone didnt load it correctly..

auto threat to jump to another carrier if they dont fix your phone that received an update sent by the manufacturer of said phone? and your assumption is that xfinity would never have a bad device update?
