Android 15 update for Pixel 9
When do we expect the rollout of Android 15 on Pixel 9 for T-mobile? Will it be on the 15th October or a later date?
Google pushes out those updates, not T-Mobile. Android 15 should launch on October 15th but it will not get pushed to all devices at once. A staggered rollout is what is always done with a major update to make sure no major bug has slipped passed QA and affects millions of devices.

My Pixel 7 Pro still does not have it available, sadly.

This answer is incorrect. T-Mobile has to approve any update. T-Mobile is the slowest of the major US carriers. When I moved over from another carrier I was shocked by how slow this is. The last major update to 14 was 2 weeks after everyone got theirs.

This update did land on time. But every month the update is late. The 14 update was 2 weeks late and they were forced to apologize. The only reason 15 is on time was Google gave the carriers a month to be able to review it. But yes, T-Mobile must review all updates and sometimes, oftentimes, it is late. All you have to do is Google it and you will see many customers discussing this All you have to do is Google it and you will see many customers discussing this
That isn't how it works but you keep preaching your decades old out of date info all you want. Carriers have had way more than a month to be ready for Android 15, not that it is a big update. People in the beta have had it for the better part of 4 months.

Thank you for that bit of info. The staggered rollout makes sense and I reckon devices bought directly from Google store will get the update first followed by the ones bought from carriers. T-mobile should be the last one as that is what I heard about them from my own research ;)
I do appreciate your response, thank you very much!
T-Mobile devices are usually in the first rollout because T-Mobile and Google have had a very long standing partnership that also extends to Google Fi.

I am afraid your information is misleading and the answer from syaoran is correct. As I type this response my Pixel 9 is downloading the Android 15 update which is at a 1.07GB in size. The update started at 12:22 PM CDT. This means T-Mobile is not approving or blocking the update from Google.

My Pixel 9 Pro XL has also downloaded and installed the Android 15 update and I purchased mine from T-Mobile.

If you really can't wait. You can always follow Google's instructions on how to manually flash the Android 15 factory image.
