Did you close your account or allow your prepaid account to go for more than 60 days without an active plan?  

You can always sign up for a new prepaid account and see if your number is still available.  If it isn't, it has been assigned to another person already.

You will have to reach out to Support by calling 611 or send a DM to T-Mobile on Facebook or Twitter to have one of the T-Force Team look into that for you.  Have you tried turning off your phone for a minimum of 5 minutes to allow it to refresh its connection to the network?
