My cell can't receive SMS
Why I can't email message to mynumber@tmomail.net? it said "There was a temporary problem delivering your message to mynumber@tmomail.net." but it has been months, the problem still there.
so you can receive sms but just not mail to text..
While I never have any problem sending e-mail to SMS from my main (Fastmail) address, e-mail sent from Gmail just never arrives. T-Mobile silently filters a lot of e-mail for SPAM. It seems that this includes everything from Gmail. YMMV.
