Very frustrated with porting a landline from AT&T to Tmobile
I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the process of porting my landline from AT&T. I have been able to make outgoing calls from my T-Mobile phone for over a week now but incoming calls still ring to the landline. I am most frustrated with my calls to T mobile. I am treated with courtesy but on one call I am told I’m being routed to “the landline department” only to be told on my next call that there is so such department. No one seems to read any notes from my previous calls . I end up being told to “wait 24 hours” and that I will receive a call to make sure the number is working. I don’t receive a call and have to repeat all the same information when I call back. I realize that the problem may be with AT&T but I had expected T-Mobile to work on this on my behalf and let me know if there is something holding up the process. Any suggestions on what I might do?

Hi, thank you, the issue was resolved in a day once I reached out to the support team on twitter. The number was ported but I had “dual service”: incoming calls still ringing to landline. The process took about a week and a half but all is good now.

Did you check to see if the number can be ported? There's a small chance it may not be able to be ported. You can check the number in the link below.
