My upgrade is no more

Hi. This is my 1st time sharing. I wanted to go from the Magenta 55+ to the Magenta Max 55+ for the sole purpose of trading in my Galaxy S10+ for a Galaxy S22. Today starts my billing cycle so I switched plans. For the past few days, the website stated my phone is worth $800 to trade in, and the S22 is $799.99. I was told to wait until today to do the trade. Well, it shows my phone is worth $400. Of course I called, and spent 1 hour speaking to a rep who seemed to have no clue. She swears my phone is still $800. And if they help you, it is an additional $35. Upgrading yourself is free. She claims the fee could be waived, but then came back and said it could not. Also, she said I had to pay $5.50 tax for my upgraded Netflix (UHD + 2 screens). Told her I did not need that, only the basic. Said she took it off, but it still shows up. So I said forget the whole thing and I went back to my original 55+. What a way to treat a senior and a customer of 4 years. Both Verizon & Spectrum tried to get me to switch, but I am a die hard T-Mobile fan. Hey, thanks for listening to my ranting. Guess sometimes these huge corporations drop the ball. I usually do not have problems with the rep’s. Just do  not call on the weekends. Have a blessed day everyone. 🙏

Yep you are right, they will apply credits but phone will still end up costing me over $500.  I really loved not having a phone I needed to pay off and I had an iPhone 11, didn’t need an iPhone 13…so it bothers me.

Every post like yours is usually they give you $400 off your phone and the rest will be issued in bill credits over 24 months.

I usually don’t add to negative feedback but my experience has been so horrid I feel I must.

i ONLY switched after being told I would get $800 plus trade in toward new phone (didn’t need new phone but offer was great) and my daughters phone paid off.  I was also told I would get $200 per line promo and $50 promo for home Internet at $30/month, plus free Netflix, paramount, and half off iTunes Tv.

My phone number being accidentally released (I’m a realtor and got that back), 4 trips into store including trip into store with final Verizon bill that was taken into back room by rep and told would be processed in 7-10 days (LIE!!) when I called customer service to find out where I check status I was told that is not how it is handled and then gave me link (which I tried only to discover that perhaps my account didn’t qualify, per customer service rep I sent email with specific info to rebate center, received email after 2 weeks saying it was approved but then was told when I called to find out how I connected with approved rebate was told

it was denied by third party and that’s when I was told the $200 promo was part of payoff, that’s when the tears of frustration came) 4 calls into customer service averaging over an hour each…I end up having to pay $500 for my phone, got 3 different stories on my daughters being paid off and now being told the $200 promo for her line is deducted from amount T-Mobile will pay off BUT current status is balance of $235 is still up in the air (I had to pay $435 to Verizon before it went to credit ) I was being billed $50 not $30 for home

internet, free Netflix…Netflix is being withdrawn from my bank account and credited in my T-Mobile bill…? I am going to cancel Netflix and all subscriptions as I am sooooo tired of the billing issues and time in the phone.
bottom line, I was lied to and then told different stories for 2.5 months.
bottom line…I don’t trust anyone at this company and wish I had never switched.  Great products but I have lost money and time needlessly.
