Cannot access voicemail from 1 key on keypad
Only had service for a month and initially I was able to access voicemail by going to phone/keypad and pressing 1 (next to tape record icon). Now all I get is msg unauthorized. Called Tmobil for help but was told to go into store. Asked if CS could even give me general tips re VM or point me to a website for info but was told “no.” As I wont be near a store for a week can anyone here give me any info?
What holding down the 1 does is to just dial the voicemail number which is programmed into the phone.
I recommend folks use Visual Voicemail instead because pressing 1 while roaming is like any other roaming call and can run anything from free to $6/minute.
I got the answer by simply googling the question, which linked me to a tmobile page with tips on accessing voicemail. Pity CS could not have directed me to that site. The answer was that key 1 has to be held down for a few seconds not just pressed.
