Adding a line to account comes at a wrong monthly price.
Adding a line to account comes at a wrong monthly price. The plan offers adding a line for $10 per month, but when trying to add a line $25 per month is listed. Please advise. Including the screenshot.
Those Simple Choice plans are such a great deal!! The new line is only $10 for the talk and text, but things did change a little bit when the data was bumped up to unlimited for everyone. For any line that already existed and had a data feature, they were bumped up to unlimited for no extra cost. For any line that didn’t have a data feature or new lines being created, the data feature does cost extra. While you are going through the order process for the new line, did it give you an option for different data features? You might just want to double check which one you selected to see that price difference. The other thing that could be happening is if you add a phone to the order. The extra $15 could be for the device payments or insurance cost.

It says, “if eligible”. I’m guessing the line you want to add is not eligible. Have you reached out to Customer Care to find out why the line you want to add doesn’t seem to be eligible?

There's other post like this and it's because it's a grandfathered plan and the add a line price more since they're made those plans unlimited.

Yes, it is a grandfathered plan, however grandfathered does not mean its terms are no longer honored - it only means the plan is not offered to customers who are not on it already. So, being able to add a line for $10 per month is a part of the plan no matter grandfathered or not, and should be honored as long as the customer is on the plan. I argued the same to the customer service, and they agreed, and said new lines will cost us $10 per month, but the page still says $25 per month.

Personally not isn't how I interpret it. Grandfathered, is currently active plans. As you said, you want to add a new line which is adding a new line of service to your current plan. That, at least to me, makes the additional cost of the line understandable.

Absolutely there should be an additional cost - $10 per month, like the plan states. The problem is the ordering page keeps showing $25 per month.

Thank you, I confirmed - $15 is added for the unlimited data. They are still offering a new line for $10 per month with no data at all, saying that limited data in the original plan was just a promotion - which is not true, limited data was part of the original plan. So, I think you pinpointed the problem - they are not offering a new line for $10 per month with the original data limit included, basically forcing additional $15 per line for the unlimited data. Thank you, is very clear now what they are doing.

Does the $10 plan include taxes and fees?
