Great phone

So this phone (FLIP 5) has not even been released for a year. So those reviews about 13 months old devices are not for the flip 5 and are false. I personally had the flip 4 which was a great phone. And currently have the flip 5 (since the release date) and have not hade one single issue. With multiple drops, getting wet, and heavy daily use, it is still great.

Don't waste your money buying any flip phone by samsung. they break after approximately a year and samsung is clearly aware of the issue and will charge about $400.00 dollars to repair the phone. I have had my 2 flip phones which i bought at the same time, break 3 times. The screen turns blank and the repair is very costly. DO NOT BUY THIS GIMMICK!

A Complete Nightmare

Against my better judgement I got this phone, thinking that surely samsung must extensively product test their phones before putting them to market. Nope. I had the phone for about 3 months before the screen cracked in half. After I got the screen replaced I decided to just not close it at all, didn't wanna risk it. After another couple of months the bottom half of the screen gave up, strobing at full brightness constantly. I got it fixed again and not even a full month's gone by and the *brand new screen* is doing the same. In that time I never once closed it. Please save yourself the stress and get something else.

Good phone that is far too fragile

The Z-flip is very powerful and operates beautifully. However, the foldable screens are far more delicate than expected. It's a known issue for these phones and Samsung is now offering a one-time screen repair discount because of it. If we had the chance we would not choose this phone again simply because it's far too delicate for such an expensive flagship.

Horrible, widely known screen blob

Wish I researched, the problem starts with a crease in screen, than a black blob appears at the fold, of course it happened at the 13th month so I had to eat the loss, Samsung admitted it's a widely reported problem, but doesn't care

DO NOT PURCHASE: MANUFACTURER'S DEFECTIVE SCREEN

DO NOT BUY. I have purchased 2 of these phones; the first in August 2023 (interior screen began to malfunction in November 2024) and the second phone purchased in April 2024 (the interior screen began to malfunction in November 2024). No the phones WERE NOT DROPPED, YES, they had SCREEN PROTECTORS AND CASES. In both instances, the devices developed a milky white line along the horizontal fold which eventually became a wider black line in the same area with a white vertical line perpendicular to it on the left side of the screen. THIS IS A KNOWN ISSUE and the company replaces the screens, for no additional charge IN INDIA BUT NOT IN THE U.S. Samsung has officially notified me, and you, that they are placing corporate profits over quality and customer service.

Iuv my new phone!

I got this phone a few months ago and I'm very satisfied with my purchase. The only down part is that the phone over heats frequently, but that's understandable since I live in FL and it's hot most of the year. Using a phone case makes it a little harder to cool it down but, I've found that just holding it up to the vent in the car with the ac on full does the trick. Or, if I'm at home, I grap an ice pack, throw on an clean dish towel on top and put the phone on top for a few seconds and it works just as well.

I'm on my 4th flip phone since my original in 2022. Twice...the screen went black starting at the fold. TWICE ! Then, in all fairness, I lost 1 - replaced it and it went black again. I've had this version since April of 24...I'll keep you posted! Other than that - I love the size....when it's working!
