Swenson will take on additional responsibilities on the Board of Management of T‑Mobile International with immediate effect, in addition to her role as Chief Operating Officer of T‑Mobile USA. "Sue Swenson will be able to draw on her considerable experience in the telecommunications sector and incorporate her in-depth knowledge of the American market in her work on the Board of Management. I am pleased that we were able to secure her for this additional task," said Rene Obermann, CEO of T‑Mobile International. "By increasing the presence of T‑Mobile USA on the Group Board of Management, we are acknowledging the great significance of our U.S. operations." The experienced American manager will take over Board of Management responsibility for transatlantic synergy programs and development projects, integrated WLAN services, roaming offers and terminals, thereby firmly establishing them within the Board of Management. Her scope of duties will support Robert Dotson's responsibilities, who will continue to steer U.S. activities within the Board of Management. Sue Swenson has been a member of the Board of Management of T‑Mobile USA since February 2004. She was previously CEO of Leap Wireless International in San Diego for five years. From 1994 - 1999, she was CEO of Cellular One in San Francisco and before that, she held several management positions at PacTel in San Francisco.
