This year, for EARTH DAY, rather than focus on just one day to celebrate the Earth, T-Mobile is giving people four fun ways to regreen our planet during April, May AND June! Last year with #TreeMobile we planted 27,000 trees. This year we have a goal to plant 500,000 trees in partnership with the Nature Conservancy. We racked up 300,000 trees in the first two weeks of #TreeMobile – check out how you can join the fun and help us plant 200,000 more!
World Environment Day: June 5 – June 11
This year, World Environment Day is focused on air quality. According to the USDA, trees help improve our air quality by absorbing C02 from our environment at a rate of 13 lbs. per tree PER YEAR! Help us plant more trees by getting out to celebrate our environment. Share your beautiful nature pics on Twitter or Instagram with #TreeMobile and we’ll donate 10 TREES to the Nature conservancy to plant on your behalf!! You read that right – 1 PIC = 10 TREES! Time to get outside for some fresh air and help us re-green our planet!

What is #TreeMobile?
Every day is Earth Day at the Un-carrier! So, on April 16th – T-Mobile, in partnership with The Nature Conservancy, kicked off our 2019 #TreeMobile Campaign, which gives everyone the opportunity to help regreen our planet – one tree at a time. Through #TreeMobile, T-Mobile aims to plant up to 500,000 trees – and we’re giving people four fun ways to participate during April, May AND June!
How do people participate?
From 4/16-4/21 anyone can play the T-Mobile Tuesday #TreeMobile game (via the TMT app or social). Just find 2 or more objects and T-Mobile will make a donation to plant a tree through The Nature Conservancy on your behalf – up to 300,000 trees, total. Bonus: You’ll be entered for the chance to win a $1000 cash prize just for playing! Want an additional chance at that $1k? Share the game on Twitter or Facebook and tell us what you’re doing to celebrate the planet – and you’ve got a second entry. Starting on Earth Day 4/22-4/28 anyone can participate by posting a fun pic of themselves cleaning up their local communities to Twitter or Instagramusing the hashtags #TreeMobile and #TrashTag – and boom, T-Mobile will donate a tree to The Nature Conservancy who will plant it on your behalf! May 16th is National Love a Tree Day, so starting 5/16-5/22, anyone can play by posting your tweets and ‘grams that includes your beau-tree-ful tree pics + the hashtag #TreeMobile – and T-Mobile will donate a tree to The Nature Conservancy who will plant it on your behalf! On World Environment Day 6/5, we’re encouraging everyone to get out into nature to enjoy our beautiful planet! Anyone can play by sharing your pics with the hashtag #TreeMobile on Twitter or Instagram between 6/5-6/11 — and T-Mobile will donate a tree to The Nature Conservancy who will plant one new tree per hashtag!
What else does T-Mobile do for sustainability?
T-Mobile is ALL IN on sustainability – it’s the right thing to do for our planet, communities and our customers. Plus it’s smart business. For example, in an industry leading move, T-Mobile made a commitment to RE100 to use 100% renewable energy by 2021 – which includes our Bellevue headquarters, stores, cell towers and call centers. As a result, we expect to cut T-Mobile’s energy costs by around $100 million in the next 15 years. Plus, all of our facilities are actively participating in initiatives and practices to create less waste and conserve energy, and we offer device recycling in every T-Mobile retail store. T-Mobile has even been recognized for these industry-leading initiatives by both the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) at the 2018 Green Power Leadership Awards. Magenta is getting greener every day, and we won’t stop! For more information on our sustainability practices, visit T-Mobile.com/Sustainability.
