Re: Starlink & Samsung Galaxy A16
TM Tech Support advised me today (15 APR 2025) that the A16 is c/w their Starlink beta and future paid service. He indicated that this was based on internal documents not available to the customer. He further advised that the Moto G 2025 (and not just the publicly listed Moto models) was compatible, as were ALL of TM's currently offered phones. He provided no link to the info, but I take his assertion to be credible. I do know that the 1900 mHz (Band II) is required to connect w the Starlink cellular signal, and both the A16 and Moto G 2025 have this capacity. So, I'm fairly confident in the accuracy of his assertion.77Views0likes0CommentsStarlink & Samsung Galaxy A16
This phone is not shown on the list of compatible devices for the Starlink service. Is that because it is fairly new and has not been added, or because it is in fact not compatible? Samlover.com shows that it is compatible, but I didn't see it on the T-Mobile site. https://samlover.com/2025/02/12/samsung-galaxy-phones-can-now-join-t-mobiles-starlink-beta-check-the-full-eligible-device-list/143Views0likes2CommentsRe: Home Internet & Wifi calling
This is an OLD thread, but I hope this may help. My TM wifi calling quit working many months ago. After a useless 45 minutes w TM telephone support, TM just blamed my ISP! I did some serious searching. Turns out that ROUTER settings were the key. Some sites advocated making MULTIPLE changes, port forwarding, firewall rules, etc. FOR ME, I narrowed things down to ONE THING: IPSec Pass-through. I enabled THAT on my Asus router, rebooted my phones, and BOTH now work w wifi calling. Turns out, TM actually has a webpge dealing w this, though TM TS clearly had NO CLUE about it. Here's the TM page: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/coverage/wi-fi-calling-on-a-corporate-network Again, ALL I had to do was to enable IPSec pass-through, and wifi calling works. Technically, I think this IS a firewall issue, but you can change it directly w/o getting into the weeds of FW rules. Initially, I tested by BRIEFLY disabling my FW. That worked, but re-enabling the FW and just enabling IPSec pass-through was sufficient, and a more secure approach. GL.82Views0likes0CommentsRe: "LG IMS keeps stopping"
DO NOT start resetting phones, folks. This problem just hit my LQ Q7+ out of the blue. Assume a T-Mobile problem which they should fix w/o user intervention, or w minimal intervention. I stand to be proven wrong, but I'm betting w others who think TM messed something up.56Views8likes0Comments
