Re: cellphone hotspot being blocked
FYI, I am not using a hotspot device, I am using the hotspot function that comes with the android tmobile cellphone. From the error codes from chrome and mozilla, it looks to me like the cellphone is not supporting HSTS. gmail.com has now implemented a security policy called HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS), which means that Firefox and Chrome from my cellphone can only connect to email accounts securely, with no possibility of a redirect. For more information see: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Headers/Strict-Transport-Security?_gl=1*ticsu2*_ga*NDk1NjEyMzEuMTY0MTI2NTgyMA..*_ga_2VC139B3XV*MTY5ODY4NjQ1NC4yLjEuMTY5ODY4NjY0MS4wLjAuMA..#description71Views0likes0Commentscellphone hotspot being blocked
The hotspot function on my tmobile cellphone has never had a problem, until last month. For the past month when I attempt to connect to my email via Chrome or Mozilla, I get a message that the cellphone connection is insecure and my connection request is refused. From research on the error codes it appears to be a setting on the phone for a new security requirement that has been implemented by at least google and mozilla. Any clues as to how to get this setting fixed on my cellphone? Must have something to do with a missing update for android.202Views1like3Comments
