Franklin mobile hotspot duplicitous data dealing?
I have been using one of these mobile Wi-Fi hotspots for a few years, and I ALWAYS run out of data early. I have 100 gigs a month for 100.00 (I think. I should probably check though because T-Mobile encourages autopay so they can raise your service fees without you noticing). Anyway, I habitually run out of data about a week early. So I decided to go on a data diet. I was being very frugal about what was using my data because although my consumption had not changed, I was now running out of data much earlier. Like 10 days to 2 weeks early, even though my usage is relatively stable. The last few months, I have turning off the Wi-Fi hotspot or turning off the Wi-Fi on my computer so it can't hook up to it without my knowledge. I NEVER use this for my smart TV, it doesn't work. It just keeps buffering, so I don't even bother. Tonight I went out for a few hours my computer's WI-FI was off, my phone was with me, and the Franklin For instance, they will turn on the Wi-Fi calling in your phone's settings in the store when you buy it, so you hopefully won't realize how bad their service is. Or when they were buying sprint, they OBVIOUSLY were renting more access from towers owned by other carriers, so people would stop complaining about their awful service, so the FCC would approve the sale, and once it was approved, everybody's service went back to being spotty or non-existent. I have decided when my data rolls over again in 10 days to do an experiment. I am going to get a sim card for a hotspot only from AT&T, (who also sucks, let's not kid ourselves) and I am going to use the SECOND Franklin I got from Amazon for 15 dollars, instead of the 90 dollars T-Mobile charged me for one. So I am going to take the mobile hotspot #1 with the T-Mobile sim and sim card NOT use it, just leave it on idle while I use the second mobile hotspot with the AT&T sim card and see if I still blow through 100 gigs of data in under 3 weeks. Every single month I run out of data faster even though I KNOW I used less. I am going to document it all. I may even make a short YouTube video if it's totally obvious and unequivocally an issue with T-Mobile just stealing data to make me buy a different plan with MORE hotspot data included, like Experience or Experience Beyond. Furthermore, I am not sure, but I DO know when something doesn't make sense, and this blowing through data in two weeks makes absolutely no sense. I am going to take pictures of the data usage of both hotspots every single night for a month. Then I will know and I will post the results. Stay tuned...19Views0likes0CommentsRe: Anyone fed-up with horrible coverage from TMobile
I have had five years of consistently awful service. It's out again. I had to spend 100 dollars on a mobile hotspot and 100 dollars on data for it, and my phone doesn't work because Im out of data. Which is impossible. It's only been 13 days, and only the phones are hooked up to wifi. I pay almost 300.00 a month to have no service for half the month. They assured me the hotspot would clear it up. Then they told me I needed to buy a 5G phone for 860.00. Then they told me I had to upgrade my plan. All lies designed to rip off customers. Customer service links you directly to a telemarketing sales reps, NOT technical support. These companies and all the employees who make money robbing the customer's are pure sleaze. They KNOW what they are doing, they KNOW their service is awful, they KNOW they are just robbing their customers day in and day out. I am looking for ANYTHING that gets me and my 5 lines AWAY from tmobile. My experience with this duplicitous crap company is nothing will ever get better because its been FIVE FRICKIN YEARS. I am here to warn everybody. Dont think its ever going to get better, because its not. Tmobile makes a FORTUNE misleading and fleecing people. They love it. They get paid for nothing.207Views0likes0Comments
