It could be the luck of the draw, but I got excellent customer service this week. Knowledgeable rep who solved the problem quickly. I usually avoid phone support, not because of the location of the representatives, but I’d rather drive a chopstick in my ear than have to listen to distorted Montovanni music on the phone for an hour as seems to be the case with a lot of companies today. This experience was exceptional. I also appreciate the fact that T-Mobile doesn’t play the “make believe” pricing game.Re: Home Internet Wi-Fi disconnecting
I’ve had the Arcadyan gateway for a few weeks with no connection problems until a couple of days ago. Then random disconnects and the occasional SIM error message. Upon checking the SIM card I noticed that it wasn’t seated properly. When I pushed it in, it didn't click into place plus it couldn’t be removed. Later on I noticed that it was slightly protruding again so I pushed it in and while it didn’t positively click into place it did appear properly seated. I worked the mechanism a fee times. It’s been seated that way for a few hours, hoping it stays that way. Before I was able to work the SIM mechanism, I contacted support. They were helpful and fully understood the problem and offered a replacement gateway. I’m hoping I won’t need a replacement as working the current gateway’s SIM mechanism seems to have helped.Re: SIM error detected heads-up
I have had the same problem, which just recently started. There seems to be a problem the SIM mechanism on the Arcadyan gateway that doesn’t positively lock into place with a distinctive click. It’s also possible that it was initially clicked into place but worked its way out. At one point it wouldn’t eject. To T-Mobile’s credit they offered a new gateway, but there’s no guarantee the mechanism on the new one won’t be as janky. After working the current SIM card mechanism, it seems to be staying put for now.
