Could not make any calls since this morning
This morning, I did software update. I tried calling someone and I got a notification “Your phone is not registered on a network, so you can only make emergency calls.”. I tried calling T-Mobile customer support, but this gave me the same notification. If relevant, my phone is android, I have not changed any settings and I have not downloaded any new apps for a relatively long time. (The last call I had was on March 13, and everything was fine then.) Is anyone else having the same issue? Has anyone done the most recent software update, and is able to make calls now? Does anyone know what are the solutions to this issue?Solved114Views0likes4CommentsHow to end a current call and answer a new incoming call?
I was calling a place A. While still calling the place A (and listening to their pre-recorded message), I got an incomingcall from a place B. What would I need to do to first end the call with the place Aand then to answer the call from the place B? (The only options of which I amaware are: 1)to decline the call from the place B, then to end the call with the place A, then to call the place B again…However, place B did not respond then…2) To accept the call from the place B, and to let the place B listen pre-recorded message from the place A - which would also mean to let the place B know that I am calling the place A, which I did not want to do for privacy reasons.) My phone is Samsung Galaxy.Solved97Views0likes2CommentsRe: Samsung Galaxy A11 constantly exchanging data on WiFi
Hi! Maybe it depends on phone model. My phone is Samsung Galaxy A14.On my phone it is: Settings →Connections →Data Usage →Wi-Fi Data Usage. Do you have a similar option? What shows on your phone? Also, maybe apps are updating automatically (I thinkthis isdefault option). In Play Store →Settings →Auto-update apps, you might be able to choose if you want apps to updateautomatically, and if yes - if this would be over Wi-Fi only. However, it is good to keep apps updated, so that they function properly. If useful, on my phone, two apps that use the highest amount ofdata are Google Play Store and Meta App Manager. Galaxy Store also uses a lot of data. Hope some of this helps.23Views0likes0CommentsHow to listen a voicemail by using T-Mobile visual voicemail, but without everyone else hearing it?
I received a voicemail that I would like to keep confidential (i.e., in the category of medical information, counseling, and similar). I am using only wired headsets. However, when I plug headsets in, the sound is practically the same as when I do not plug the headphones in. This means that everyone around me can hear the voicemail. Especially when the person who left voicemail speaks loudly. Are there any possible solutions? E.g., is there an app that I could install to decrease the volume below the minimum volume (so that at least it is more difficult for others to hear it)? Or, what others do in such situation? E.g., is it maybe more confidential if I go to a public place, and listen the voicemail there (i.e., less likely that people who probably do not know me would care about what they hear)? Or, are there any other solutions? (If relevant: 1) no issues with listening music on phone. So it seems that this is a software issue, not a device issue. 2) using Android.)63Views0likes0CommentsRe: How to make wired headphones to work properly with Android phone calls?
The same issue also happens at least with Zoom. Sound is also leaking. However, I am able to decrease the volume more, so it is more difficult for people around meto understand conversation. I am using just a 3.5mm jack, not a USB-C adapter. I havenot hadan opportunity to try it with non wired BT head sets yet.31Views0likes0CommentsRe: Samsung Galaxy A11 constantly exchanging data on WiFi
I don’t know the answer, but have you tried checking which apps are constantly exchanging the data (on my phone this shows in Connections →Data Usage →WiFi datausage) and how much data are they exchanging? Also, some apps ask if we want to allowdiagnostic data sent to them, which I think is usually optional. If this is happening, you could select no. Or, maybe trying another anti-virus could help, to confirm that there is no virus that stayed undetected in Lookout?26Views0likes0Comments
