Anyone else get their autopay account credit card hacked?
I use a specific credit card for this T-mobile, because every year, the card information gets stolen, and then months later hear that T-mobile got hacked. It just happened again tonight, just a few days after my bill was autopaid. Everyone keep an eye on the credit card you use here, just in case.61Views0likes0CommentsRe: 5G home internet keeps dropping
I have the same problem every three months or so. (I do not leave my hotspot plugged in, I turn it off when I’m done). I call T-Mobile, have to wait for a call back, then the CSR tries to be uber friendly without actually helping me, and I try not to get irritated because they obviously have no idea or ability to do anything - and when I finally get transferred to the tech queue, my call is dropped. So I have to start allll over again. Every three months.Except tonight. Tonight I’m done. I can’t get on the internet (thank god for my phone being a different provider). I called, got CSR’d, got dropped by the tech line, AGAIN. I’m tired of calling, tired of eventually being told “oh, a tower’s down” - I’m going to have to look for another provider. I’m tired of getting this run around, when it’s obvious they’ve bought up so many people’s accounts (like Mint now) that they are probably exceeding capacity and so don’t care if I leave after ten years. Fine.5Views0likes0CommentsRanting, because that's all I can do.
Ten years with T-Mobile. Every threemonths I have to call them because signal on my hotspot crashes and I can’t access the internet. Every three months I have to wait for a call back because the queue is too long. Every three months, some Customer Service Representative calls me back to sayhow much T-Mobile Loves Me and how Horrified they are that I can’t get service to work and how Diligent they are at getting “this problem fixed”. Every three months, they realize that yes, I had already recycled, yes, I’ve gone through this before, and FINALLY, they say we’ll connect you to Tech Support. Every three months, I get connected to a new queue for the tech support people, and WOOPS! after five minutes, my call is disconnected. And Every three months, I have to call back and go through this circus again. But tonight I’m tired, I’m frustrated, they’re probably going to tell me the same thing they told me Three Months Ago, which is “Oh, a tower is down”, and I’ll just have to wait until tomorrow for the thing to come back up. But I’m not calling back anymore, and I’m going to try and find another company with more stable service. Or at least not buying so many companies they can’t keep up.31Views0likes0CommentsRe: what's up with T-mobile removing autopay discount for credit cards?
I also don’t trust T-Mobile to keep my information safe. They’ve been repeatedly hacked over the last few years.Credit cards offer protection, my bank account/debit card may not. I didn’t receive an email about this change either, just a “oh hey” banner when I went to check my usage. I guess I’ll just have to switch providers. I don’t have much time, which may have been the point of not notifying me directly. I don’t think there’s enough time for me to also set up a “dummy” bank account, that is only used for bills like this, and then I transfer money in monthly, so that’s all that can be taken out, but even then, I’m not sure I am protected if someone tries to overdraft anyway. Well, have a month to find someone else.3Views2likes0Comments
