$5 movie

This is misleading as $5 was taken off my AMC rewards account when the movie should be free but my credit card will be charged $5.  Let me explain:  Ticket price is $17.59 and I wanted to take advantage of the $5 Tuesday promotion.  So you would expect 12.59 to be discounted to bring it to $5.  With my AMC reward of $5 it should be free. I look at the receipt and the $5 is taken off the $17.59 ticket price and with the ticket price at 12.59 ONLY 7.59 is taken off and I am charged the $5.  I should cancel, right?
