My Canon ST3429 printer will not connect to my getaway modem

The problem is most likely an outdated WiFi receiver on the Canon. Try the following to see if you can't get it to connect.
On the T-Mobile app, go to the Network tab and click the “plus” button on the bottom right. Create a new network named differently than your prime WiFi, like Canon Printer. Choose 2.4 GHz for the Frequency Band and for WPA Version choose WPA/WPA2.
Go through setup on the Canon printer and you will see this new network advertising. Try connecting to that network and you should be OK.
Full disclosure: I've owned two Canon printers and think they are terrible. I've ended up throwing both of them out and upgraded to an Epson. I haven't had a days problem with the printer since then. Also, you are one of many on the Forum who has had problems connecting Canon printers.
