Thanks Fireguy. My wife took her phone to Best Buy ,(where she bought it) and they said it's not the phone. She has an older model than I do ,(Pixel 4a as opposed to my 6a). I am going to try and fiddle with a few things in settings and see what happens. The puzzlement is that both phones were working fine until 2 +/- weeks ago. I don't know of anything that's changed.
