internet

I have the tmobile internet box in home. Always have a strong signal cell tower is not far away. When I get on my laptop and connect to network then internet all is good speed good. But if I disconnect from network and leave laptop on then try to reconnect back on all I can do is connect to network but no internet connection, so I have to restart laptop and reconnect again and all is good. So is there a setting on my laptop that is causing this? thanks
