Disable personal hotspot on iPhone
I am looking to remove the personal hotspot feature on my child’s phone. There is a setting on the phone to turn it off but he can just turn it back on and use it whenever. When we had Verizon we called and they placed a block that didn’t allow him to even see it in settings. I tried calling T-Mobile support but they said that can’t do it. Can we do the same thing with T-Mobile?
I am looking for this exact same thing...ability to turn off hotspot. Have you had any luck to figure out a way? thanks!
I never found a way to disable the hotspot. I spent a few hours on the phone with T-Mobile customer care and nothing they tried worked.
Oh bummer....It's more than a full time job trying to manage kid's tech. If it helps, I found a way to shut off their data, leaving the kid's phone with just call and text. You logon to t mobile site or go onto the app. Then go to "manage add-ons". Select "no data".
