Suspended Account - Back Payments?

I have a $40/month prepaid account that I did not pay for the past two months because I left the U.S.  The account is suspended due to non-payment.  I understand that after 120 days in non-paid status that I will lose the account and phone number permanently.

If I return to the U.S. before 120 days and want to reactive the account, can I just pay $40 and the account is reactivated from the day I pay?  Or, will T-mobile make me pay for the previous two months that the account was suspended ($80 total) plus charge me an additional $40 for the "new" month which starts from the date of reactivation?

Interesting.  I have always thought it was 60 days.

Prepaid is a oay in advance service.  If you don't pay, there is no service.  There is no back pay required because you did not refill.  If you pay for a plan, regardless of the price.  That plan is active for 30 days from the payment.  If you decide to skip a month as an example by not paying for a plan for whatever reason.  There is nothing owed because no service was provided.

Not too sure where you get the 120 days from.  After 60 days of going without an active plan, the account will be closed and the number will be made available to be assigned to another customer.  If you return to the US before that time is up and activate another plan on it, $40 or any other prepaid plan available.  You can resume using your prepaid service.  If the account gets closed and the number goes back into the pool to be assigned.  You will need a need prepaid SIM and account.

So I won't have to pay backpay for the unpaid months, correct?

      On the T-mobile website: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/account/prepaid-suspend-cancel

It says at the bottom:  Most Prepaid accounts will cancel automatically after 120 days in Not Paid status . . .

  • Nobody can answer this questions?  Are there any T-mobile reps on here or do they have a customer service email?

To simplify the question:  If my prepaid account is suspended due to non-payment, do I have to retroactively pay for the unpaid months or can I just pay for the next coming month to reactivate the account?
